In the recent years, the threat of terrorist attacks have been plaguing the international community. This has especially been the case in the United States where the situation has exacerbated due to police brutality stemming from racial inequality and extreme cases of xenophobia. Thus, there were voices of concern when I told my family members I would be spending my summer in Boston and Connecticut. While spending time in the States, however, photographs that I have taken on a daily basis illustrate scenes that prove otherwise. Amidst the ongoing fear of such tragic events were families living an ordinary life just like in any other country. Such juxtaposed images prove the various perspectives that exist even within a single event or setting.
