A body of work made in reaction to overwhelming abundance of images and information in the digital era. It engages directly with various environments by bringing light-sensitive materials into immediate contact with nature, physically touching paper to soil, water, or plant material. These prints are then superimposed with images of the landscapes within which they were created as a way to ground each piece to its origin. The resulting photographs become passageways through which the transcriptions are carried across; they're evidence of a vision beyond what the eye can see. The images in this body of work are not conceptual in nature, instead they are registered through physical means. They open up the world and set forth elements of the earth to present an intimate view of the land. The medium is the message and it encourages viewers to consider a “reality” only made visual through inherences of photographic recording processes.
