My lifelong love of Rodin’s work is evident in these photographic “sculptures” in which I celebrate the beauty of human form. The dynamic and complex exchange with my subjects is like love making: there is tension and testing in how much we reveal about ourselves. At times I feel as if I am intruding on a moment of private ecstasy, but say to myself that by participating in this creation and exchange of energy, I reveal just as much about myself as they do. The simplest intake of a breath, or a head tilt, tell me what they are feeling and experiencing. In a single moment and with alarming clarity, I fully grasp that when perfect form and a moment of quiet sensuality meet, we get a glimpse of perfection!
