Candid street portrait of a young lady with headphones. While the so called "profil perdu" (three quarters-profile from behind) was popular among painters (e.g. Gerhard Richter: Betty, 1988), photos of this kind are surprisingly seldom seen. Due to the wide open lens, sharpness lies on the eyelashes, the nose and the mouth while some parts of the hair and the headphones are already slightly blurred to underline the aesthetics of the face. I like the perfect hairstyle, I like the single curl of the hair that flows around her neck and the metallic chain of the handbag.
