A dog fight used be very popular in Japan. However, the Animal Protection Organization strongly opposed the dog fight. Subsequently, dog fighting was prohibited in many prefectures. However, last winter I got information that a dog fight is held in northern part of Japan and went to there to watch it. There, well-trained dogs, the pride and joy of their owners, were brought to the battlefield early in the morning. The dogs seemed to fight on instinct, as if it was their destiny. The dogs and their owners seems beautiful to me. I wanted to capture it on camera.
