The Tibetan people live beyond the territory considered the Tibetan Autonomous prefecture and into Chinese provinces such as Sichuan; where the image was taken. Deeply devoted to their religion; they perform numerous rituals throghout the year; in which the Lama monks take an active role; to remind the Tibetans about the continous struggle in this life between good and evil; all of which takes a particular significance in the afterlife. The Tibetans through a series of Dances representing the Gods; are reminded of the transitory character of this life; the need to recall death in their daily routines with the purpose of enhancing life; and the need of preserving a good Kharma; which means following a path of performing good actions; which will help in the afterlife to achieve a good reincarnation.
