Influenced by the master of portraiture, Arnold Newman, this work revolves around form and character. Using environmental elements the photographs tell a story of their subject; the designer, the craftsman, and the Dali-like painter donning a wild-eyed glare. Each image supports its own unique narrative. They are stories of obsession, habit and passion. The audience is allowed to linger in this often private space, examine its contents, and project their own sentiments. Every observation is an added layer to the story. My intent is that the viewer walk away with a better understanding of these creative spaces and their inhabitants, yet curious to know more.
