On September 23, 2009 California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger declared a state of emergency in Ventura County as the Guiberson fire burned twenty-seven square miles of everything in its path. Just north of Los Angeles, the blaze edged right up to the fairways of the Elkins Ranch Golf Course. Here is a look at some of the golf balls that came tumbling down from their former out of bounds resting places deep in the hills.
