These five photographs represent the five elements of life which are Earth, Water, Fire, Wind and Void. This is derived from Indian philosophy of the 7th century which was brought to Japan by the revered Buddhist monk Kukai (Kobo-Daishi.) Through his many long expeditions, Kukai realized that the humans exist in this great nature.
