Kenya, like the rest of the world, is experiencing climate change and variability and the associated adverse impacts. Swirling dust devils sweep up the feet of loose dust resulting from marked less rainfall and failing rains in Kenya's south Rift. The increasing amount of long-term environmental damage is occurring fast to pressures on water, pasture, firewood resources by the ever-rising demands of human population and their livestock. At this stage we can all say what needs to be done - fewer children, fewer livestock, correct rangeland management - but who is prepared to actually do it. Climate Change is indeed a complicated issue.
