I have always been fascinated by the use of a moving camera to create abstract paintings. To create this particular image I used a left to right panning technique under one of the most unusual sunsets I've seen from the shoreline of my hometown beach of North Wollongong. I was fortunate to encounter a very high tide on the evening I captured this, which left a thin layer of water lining the sand, reflecting the colour exploding from high above.
