THE 11th ANNUAL IPA COMPETITION IS NOW OPEN!

Now in its eleventh year, the International Photography Awards conducts an annual competition for professional, non- professional, and student photographers on a global level, creating one of the most ambitious and comprehensive competitions in the photography world today.
We have awarded over $175,000 in cash prizes, to date!
The overall winners of the main categories listed below will be named as finalists. Those finalists will be invited to attend The Annual Lucie Awards, where one professional photographer will be announced as the International Photographer of the Year, earning the coveted Lucie statue and a cash prize of $10,000 provided by AtEdge. The nominees in the non-professional and student categories will be invited to the Lucie Awards to compete for the title of Discovery of the Year, a Lucie statue and $5,000 cash prize. Six nominees comprised of all levels of profession will be invited to the Lucie Awards for the title of Deeper Perspective Photographer of the Year, where the story behind the images are dually judged, and to compete for the coveted Luciestatue and a cash prize of $5,000 (sponosred by American Society of Media Photographers).
Nominees in the NEW Moving Images category will compete for the title of Moving Images Photographer of the Year, a Lucie statue, and a cash prize of $2,500.
LUCIE AWARDS:
In addition to earning the chance to compete for the cash prizes, the category winners (nominees) will each receive two tickets to The Lucie Awards, and the following titles:
Advertising Photographer of the Year
Architectural Photographer of the Year
Deeper Perspective Photographer of the Year
Editorial Photographer of the Year
Photography Book of the Year
Fine Art Photographer of the Year
Nature Photographer of the Year
People Photographer of the Year
Photographer of the Year in the Special category
BEST OF SHOW EXHIBITION:
Each year, the IPA will invite an established curator to select 45 images from both the professional and non-professional pools of first, second, and third place winners to be exhibited in an exclusive show in Los Angeles, during the week leading up to the Tenth Annual Lucie Awards event. The Best of Show will then travel to various countries to be included in photo festivals, galleries, and other photography related events.
LUCIE MAGAZINE:
Winning work will be published in the inaugural edition of Lucie, the Lucie Foundation magazine, to be distributed, beginning in October 2012.
