Fifty years ago these couples were teenagers listening to the 1965 hit singles, I Can’t get no Satisfaction and My Generation, hoping they’d die before they ‘got old’. They are the baby boomers who made it good. They’ve clocked up over half a century of wisdom and they’ve tamed their primitive drives, but as couples in their prime how do they get satisfaction now? To discover the “otherness” of this generation I asked them to express their take on ‘satisfaction’ in their homes before a large format camera. Their habitat becomes a stage where they play out their psychological scenarios.
