A portrait of my son, Ellis, after a bad fall and experiencing his first shiner. Part of childhood, especially a boy, is the bumps and bruises that come along the way. But the resiliency of children is that they get up and keep going. I see this portrait analogous to life as an adult and the need to be resilient. Metaphorically speaking, we all fall, we all get bumps, we all get bruises, but the important thing is to get up and keep going just as you would when you were a kid.
