This particular afternoon I was returning from a family BBQ when I could see some strong potential for amazing light developing. I convinced Suzy to make a quick detour to Jam Jerrup Beach in Westernport Bay to see what I could shoot. I discovered these old jetty pylons surrounded by mangroves in the mud. The mud in this part of Westerport Bay can be quite dangerous. I was chatting to a guy at a nearby fishing spot one day who rescued another fisherman stuck in the mud almost up to his neck (and sinking). This story was in the back of my mind with every step I took but I made it out safely and setup my gear. The sunset peaked for all of about 5 seconds before this beautiful light disappeared. It was just long enough to capture this single frame then return to the car covered in mud.
