Project social documentary, born of a job for the School of Art "León Ortega" de Huelva, on the medical staff of the Hospital of my city, which at first was a report a month and deliver 10 photos, has been become a project for almost two years and more than 1,000 photographs taken. Currently in the process of making a photobook.

This work was conducted in the ICU of the Hospital "Juan Ramon Jimenez" over 18 months in different shifts and after capturing more than 1,000 photographs, I wanted above all to document routine and daily activity of health working in this place so complicated, always bearing in mind that he could not recognize any patient, respecting their privacy, and that was not a scene from a technical too bloody.
In the series, sometimes an element, which are the windows, as a symbol of longing, anxiety, and hope that patients are being admitted to a box, sometimes without power or even move a muscle, sure you will see the window with the uncertainty of whether one day to go outside world, ultimately, if they come back to life again.
I always thought that even grayer place, or the most tragic situation, photography is able to capture a glimmer of beauty.
On the other hand, for my work as a nurse in the ICU, I have very present death, as I have witnessed very sad situations and authentic family dramas. Hard to bear even being alien and part of my daily routine. So I can say, I found the picture to some extent, a way to cheat death, by the magic that it has to immortalize, never better, people, times, and places.
