Venice is a very old city which seems to survive time. Everything that is temporary disappears, including us as mortals, but the city remains. I tried to photograph this concept by using long exposures. Everything that is temporary fades because of the dimension of time. Only the city has eternal value. And although Venice probably will perish one day, it is less subject to the influence of time than we are, or water, clouds, animals and ships that pass by. In these pictures I also try to show the city without all its noise, the bustle and everyday life, so the experience becomes more like a daydream. It is the way I experience Venice. I can put something of myself (the romantic, the dreamer in me) in these photos. They are poems of Venice, the city that will live much longer than me.
