The art of building the "pupi" is a tradition that in Sicily since the second half of the nineteenth century and continues to this day thanks to the transmission of father to son and so come to constitute real family schools. The youngest Palermitan family to continue this tradition is that of Salvatore Bumbello who has learned since childhood, first playing and then working with his father Luciano and then alone since the age of 17 when Salvatore remained orphaned and took Carries out the fate of family activity. Today, besides being the youngest exponent of this art in Palermo, Salvatore is also a songwriter with his company "Opera del pupi Briglia d'oro" with which he staged the classic cycle of the adventures of the knights of France at the time of Carlo He is great and creates new pups for original stories (including a work by Andrea Camilleri) that he performs on stage. Savior as his tradition wants also involves his children in this activity, so that tomorrow they can continue the family tradition.
Photographer because, always in contact with art, painting and music, today I prefer to express myself through photography so that I can tell what's going on around me, when I travel, or more simply when I walk in the streets of my city with one click, one click. To refine my technique I followed the courses of Palermofoto and the workshops of Patrice Terraz, Sandro Iovine, Antonio Manta and Fausto Podavini and Valerio Bispuri, but above all I read the photos of the great photographers of the past and the present.
