Indian Shiite Muslim mourners flagellate themselves during a religious procession held on the ninth day of the Islamic month of Muharram, in Mumbai, India, 04 November 2014. Muharram, the first month of the Islamic calendar, is observed around the world for 10 days of mourning in remembrance of the martyrdom of Imam Husain, the grandson of Prophet Muhammad.

About Photographer

Divyakant Solanki (1981, India), a self-taught photographer, joined Business Standard in Ahmedabad in 2003, moved to Mumbai Bureau in 20005 and later joined European Pressphoto Agency (EPA) in 2010.
