About Photographer

Mark Fulinara is a Los Angeles based human being. He owns a camera. He maintains that while he might not be the best at any of his many, MANY hobbies, he certainly has the most fun. As a teenager, he had dreams of becoming a champion kickboxer until he found out that college exams are much more difficult to take with swollen eyes and concussions. He instead pursued a career in the film industry and has worked at a major motion picture studio for over 10 years. During that time, Mark fancied himself as a musician and street photographer. In a twist of fate, he found himself thrust into the world of combat sports photography, somehow winning the 2016 Sony World Photography U.S. National Award with a photo taken at his first gig in Milan, Italy. As an ex-aspiring-kickboxer Mark gets to take a glimpse into the world of professional fighting not just as a photographer, but as a person with a true passion for the sport. As his career progresses, he has won more photography awards, his work has been published in books and newspapers, and has been exhibited in galleries around the world. Despite this sudden upturn in photo accolades, he has attempted not to let his ego get out of hand-- noting that he still has to write his own bio in the third person.
