These are part of an entire series of Wet Plate street portraits Folsom Street Fair. My first event as an openly bisexual artist and I wanted to participate in the day by celebrating the beauty of consent. I approached each subject with the intent to ask consent to photograph. I provided ample opportunities and support to deny or consent and I was adamant that the subject should choose how they wanted to be viewed. By making images that resemble historical record, it feels like I am providing a younger closeted version of myself an opportunity to see a better representation of history.
