From my Winter Aerial Observations series and photographed from a helicopter on the same day during the colder season, the following images are non-manipulated aerial landscapes captured from over a large pond and a bay area in New York. Highlighting the elemental and biological nature of the pond's frozen water, the cracks, snowy lines and holes from forming bubbles are naturally created and provide a dramatic abstraction. The bay images show results of the combination of the water’s flow, tidal patterns, and the snowy weather conditions that created beautiful abstractions in the land.
