I photographed Puchi & the other primates at Jungle Friends in Florida. Puchi was found wandering along an expressway in Chicago. He had tooth extractions & significant hair loss due to a possible fire, causing a chronic upper respiratory problem. Raja, the marmoset was being kept illegally as a pet in a tiny birdcage. Cuzco, the weeper capuchin was illegally caught in the wild in 2008. He was the only one to survive the wooden crate without food or water during shipping. Jungle Friends Primate Sanctuary is a loving and caring facility that has rescued these discarded pets.
