The city intrigues, but mostly inspires me. Rotterdam is well known for its progressive style of architecture. With this series I wanted to capture the diversity of its buildings. For me it is important to capture the structure and shape of the building, more than the building itself or the location. The negatives represent my feelings better than the actual photograph. To express this feeling, I made large negatives with my own build 30 x 30 cm wooden camera. The negatives are part of the end product. I will scan and enlarge a small part of the series.
