I was happy to return to Lake Tahoe last June, despite the fact that the weather did not cooperate. On the last day of my trip, I had planned to watch the sunset aboard the “Tahoe Queen.” Despite our reservation, upon arrival, I was told the boat had been chartered for a private party. And so, “Glory” was my plan B for the evening. And with a stunning sunset, finally, the Universe had diverted me to a truly incredible landscape inside Nevada State Park. When I looked at this scene, I was indeed in my glory. This spiritual setting had just the right balance of still waters and turbulent skies. The boulders protruding through Lake Tahoe spoke to me of the wondrous views they enjoyed nightly as the sky erupts into colorful bliss. While taking this picture, the colors lasted only about 15 minutes, so i quickly took as many shots as i could all ranging between 4 and 10 seconds. I was very pleased with the final result, and was happy to get a chance to return to Nevada state park and capture this majestic scene. Sometimes plan B works out really well after all.
