The Holocaust Memorial in Berlin was a sign of an established culture of remembrance — a heavy, unshakeable manifesto against forgetting. Yet, deep cracks in the concrete of the stelae symbolize the awakening of a toxic phenomenon: antisemitism. What once lay hidden as a suppressed hatred is gradually seeping back into public discourse, damaging the very foundation of our coexistence. These photographs document not only the decay of material, but the creeping vulnerability of our democratic and humanitarian values. "Never again" is as fragile as the concrete of these stelae.
