The Earth Remembers Through Us comes from West of the Champa Sea, part of From Borneo to Indochina, a chapter of La Marche de l’humanité / Humanity in Motion. During Ramâwan, Chăm Bani families in Vietnam return to ancestral graves and gather for home rituals to remember, mourn, pray and renew their bond with the dead. Their religious practice is shaped by Islam, older Chăm-Brahmanic inheritances & local customary belief. Between graves, offerings, smoke, priestly rites, women’s mourning, divided burial grounds and wind turbines, the series reflects on belonging across time, faith & modernity
