FADE OUT is a photographic work that records and reconstructs traces of marks and their disappearance using a calligraphy practice sheet that fades over time when drawn with water. The work incorporates uncontrollable elements such as the movement of the brush, the spread of water, and the speed of drying, focusing on chance occurrences that emerge beyond the intentions of the artist and participants. Water was dripped onto the sheet with brushes, and the changing patterns were photographed. The remaining traces were then layered into a single composite image.
