This was taken in Santa Barbara, CA. It was taken at sunset on a night where the conditions were just perfect for getting very small and cool texture waves. The reflection on the face of the wave is actually the shoreline upside down...that's how smooth the water was. I shot this with a 200mm lens and a water housing. I tread water, I shoot, and then I dive under the waves! This is one of my favorite shots from Santa Barbara! These texture shots are so difficult to get, so when I got this one I felt like I found a Lucky Penny, so that is where it gets its formal name!
