A selection of landscape images from an ongoing project about the Cowboy Trail, a 700km stretch of road in Alberta, Canada. Defined by open prairie and big skies in the south, it transitions through rural communities, ranch and farm lands, foothills and forests, with occasional views of the eastern slopes of the Rocky Mountains along the way. While the Cowboy Trail is sometimes seen as a marketing designation, to me it exemplifies the quiet intersection of man and nature that I find so intriguing.
