Harlem is in a transition period at the moment. Every day there are signs of gentrification, pushing the arts and people further up or further out of the neighborhoods they once knew and called home. But there are still corners and streets clinging on to their culture refusing to let go. On one particular block the local youth still shoot hoops after school and take breaks in the middle of the sidewalk. Despite all the changes happening around them, Harlem is still their playground and their home. And by the looks of it they aren’t giving up much ground.
