Mystic Light is a project born in 2015, but has always lived in the figurative sense of the two born in Turin photographers Patrizia Piga and Flavio Catalano. Turin, although something Flemish somehow runs in their blood, as almost karmic legacy. Right from their first advertising photos, only food oriented, it was revealed this way to see the light, a way of arranging objects as in a Caravaggio's still life. Thus, whether it is used the light of the lamps from the studio, or just the light of a window, the impression is always of a ray enveloping, only one, sideward, which together with its shadow, wraps everything there is. Mystic light, as in a painting or a fresco of a sacred place, where inevitably is felt the presence of something that is not only material, and that revives the invisible even in objects.
