African predators in their normal day life. Lions spend much of their day sleeping - being active in the night. Leopards are mainly nocturne animals as well - during daytime they are often found in trees that offer good camouflage and safety from the other big predators. Unlike the other big cats the cheetah has a poor night vision. The cheetah is a daytime hunter and has an excellent eyesight during daytime - often using dead branches or termite mounts for a lookout. Being slim and light, the cheetah will often loose its prey to the other big cats or hyenas.
