This is the first book bringing together 30 years of Alice Wheeler's documentary photography. From the ravage of AIDS to the worldwide phenomenon of grunge, Alice captures the women, activists, divas, and loner kids of Seattle before the high-tech takeover.
Minor Matters is a collaborative publishing platform producing contemporary art books through the active engagement of our international audience. We focus on projects that articulate the surface of life, bringing insight and cadence to the worlds we occupy. We seek projects by artists whose voices are underrepresented in the mainstream. Recent books include Paul Berger: Multiplex, Anatomy Is Destiny by Marina Font (in Spanish and English), Outcasts and Innocents by Alice Wheeler, and All Power: Visual Legacies of the Black Panther Party, among others.
