America euthanizes upward of 1 million pit bulls every year. Around the world, these dogs are the victims of similar prejudice, which leads to constant abuse and a quiet massacre. They have become mythical creatures, Hellhounds. Flower Power is a series drawing inspiration from Baroque esthetics, offering an alternative to the traditional image of pit bulls, and shortening the emotional distance with these misunderstood dogs. All the models from the series are shelter dogs waiting to be adopted.
