Due to the Greek economic crisis the, the countries athletes are also suffering from budget cuts. For divers especially, the situation is dire. There are only 3 diving centers available in Greece, but none are suitable to prepare for the Olympics. The springboards are more than 10 years old. As a result Greece's diving team has nowhere to properly train. Stefanos Paparounas, 26, didn't manage to qualify as he had to work while preparing for the Olympics.
