The “Hang Time” project grew out of a desire to focus this year on the inspiration of athletic endeavor. It is the third project in the series following “Girl Power” and “Fighter.” Aside from the simple grace of movement, fitness can benefit us both physically and emotionally. Sports can inspire us to be better both inside and outside of the arena. And what is a more universal experience than growing up shooting hoops with your boys. Or, your girls. I wanted to try to capture the camaraderie and confidence created with every bounce of the ball, every drive to the hoop, and every postgame conversation where friends get together and even the last man picked gets to paint himself in the likeness of Jordan. Hopefully I’ve captured a bit of that spirit and viewers can recognize the freedom of the sport… and maybe recognize themselves.
