I took these photographs about 2 years ago when I went to Samana Las Terrenas, a town situated in the northeastern part of the Dominican Republic, which is one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited. These photographs were more exactly taken in an abandoned house that felt so alone, so empty and where the only thing I could care about was the quiet pleasure of listening to the lulling song of the ocean. They remember me a subtle kind of joy that made me feel the happiness of simply being alive and represent solitude, which is the profoundest fact of the human condition.
