Entry Description

I found the tandem which came with a barbie couple in a bazaar. It' s actually creepy. Then I came out with the idea to have them ride across an apocalyptic sea, while all the others are suffering, being drowned, dying in the waves. I made the sea myself and had the sky projected. In the meantime, my partner and I were at our low point in our professional/artistic life. So I just couldn't help but picture and reflect ourselves in this barbie couple, and hoped that we'll ride through the vicious environment and people that tried to pull us down. But probably we'll be drowned, just like the others?

About Photographer

I am a self-taught photographer and videographer from Madrid, Spain. Inevitably having been influenced by the great Spanish artists such as El Greco, Goya, and Picasso, I started my journey of art from painting, and not long after I shifted my interests and efforts into realising imaginative pictures through photographing and artistic retouching. All the early personal artworks eventually led me to various commissioned advertising projects working with European and Asian clients, including LOEWE perfume, Reebok, Benson and Hedges, BOBSON Jeans, ABC Newspaper, Miguel Bose, etc... In addition to commercial works, I constantly shoot personal images with my eyes focus on the streets, the landscapes, the still life, and storytelling people. Recently I've come back to my first inspiration and worked on several personal projects in fine art photography, creating poetic, imaginative and metaphoric images in a realm of romanticism.
