I found the tandem which came with a barbie couple in a bazaar. It' s actually creepy. Then I came out with the idea to have them ride across an apocalyptic sea, while all the others are suffering, being drowned, dying in the waves. I made the sea myself and had the sky projected. In the meantime, my partner and I were at our low point in our professional/artistic life. So I just couldn't help but picture and reflect ourselves in this barbie couple, and hoped that we'll ride through the vicious environment and people that tried to pull us down. But probably we'll be drowned, just like the others?
I am a self-taught photographer and filmmaker from Madrid, Spain. My early personal photography works have led me to various commissioned advertising projects working with European and Asian brands such as LOEWE, Reebok, Benson and Hedges, BOBSON Jeans, Martell Cognac, etc... In addition to commercial works, I constantly shoot images with my eyes focus on the streets, the landscapes, storytelling people, and still life. Recently I've come back to my first inspiration and worked on several personal projects in fine art photography, creating poetic, imaginative and metaphoric pictures.
