Born in Tokyo, received a degree in Photography from Tokyo Polytechnic University, studied under the photographer Eikoh Hosoe. Encounter with photographer the Daido Moriyama was also decisive. Through them, he was enlightened as to how artistic expression is created. Numerous photographic exhibitions have been held at galleries in Paris, NY, Tokyo. After having been sent to China by the ministry of artist's fellowship program, he moved to London for the period of 2005-2006. Since 2007 he shifted all of his activities to New York.
