All photos of the project are documentary and were made on the actions, processions and meetings which were taking place in Moscow in 2016-2017. The Scream project has been created in the style of photoexpressionism. Photoexpressionism is style in the photo of which are characteristic, as well as of expressionism in the fine arts: color dissonances, contrasts of tone, distortion and deformation of lines and forms, violation of proportions and perspectives, randomness of object images and figures, and convulsiveness of their movements. The main theme of photoexpressionism, as that of expressionism in the visual arts, is a figurative expression of the suffering and emotions of a person who is today in the space of acute social and political contradictions. The style primarily reflects personal emotional experiences or author's empathy.
