The Eiffel Tower, one of the most visited attractions in Paris, is named after Gustave Eiffel whose company designed and built it between 1887 and 1889. I stood in front of this magnificent structure on a windy day in Feb 2016 wondering how best to capture its ?soul? and make the wrought iron tower come to life through the creation of my own impression of it. I used long exposure combined with monochrome processing to give my image a surreal and timeless quality. Low key editing allowed me to emphasise parts of the image I thought were more important and de-emphasised others.
