This picture is part of my project to transform all Paris metro stations into a combination of light and lines. I was inspired by Gerhard Richters Rakel and stripes paintings. But instead of using paint and a rakel I moved the process into the Parisian metro and use the camera as a tool. The metro stations come in different colors and through passing on the train with a longer aperture it imitates the process of the rakel technique. The process of applying several layers comes afterwards. In the case of Bastille I simply turned the layers 90 degrees.
