During the Nakba Day around 20 people were protesting at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem when the police showed up and arrested two people. Allegedly for no reason. For the Palestinians the Nakba Day is an annual day of commemoration of the displacement that preceded and followed the Israeli Declaration of Independence in 1948. In 2018 the situation was very tense, as USA had moved its embassy to Jerusalem the day before, which to many was seen as recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. In the meantime heavy protests took place in Gaza with several casualties of Palestinians.
