Isabouckar creates a new reality, it brings the inside and outside world together. In 2013 I went to Saint-Louis, Senegal to meet and photograph Senegalese dancers. I was looking for dancers who moves from their inner world and express through dance their emotions, expression and authenticity. Besides that it was important for me that the dancers had a truly connection with their environment so that there will be a synergy. Dancer Madiba Badio danced in the night next to Talibes children, they have to learn the Koran and beg on the treet, daytime he danced on the beach with locals & fishermen.
