In my series "Vertical Island" I explore the public housing estates of Singapore, the dominant component of the built up landscape of the island nation. My primary objective is to reveal the visual qualities of the buildings and their surroundings to the viewer, condense them to almost abstract compositions removed from their ordinary function and submit a request for their closer observation.
