Venice is built on mud, and most buildings in the city are supported by large numbers of timber piles driven into the mud. The town has a rich and diverse architectural style and the view from the small island of San Giorgio Maggiore towards the Piazza San Marco with the famous tower is spectacular. With the geometrical shapes I tried to connect the structures and colors of the buildings as reflections on the water. At the same time, this symbolizes the piles on which the city is built.
