'Behind the smile' A series of photos about the relationship between people and nature in the only city in the world, located directly on the industrial oil field. Since the end of the 19th century, these lands have been heavily involved in the production and refinery of oil. The period of intensive development of Boryslav was depicted in the well-known 'Boryslav Stories' by Ivan Franko. However, now the city reminds a monumental sculpture of human ignorance. It has serious environmental issues. It suffers from the pollution with oil and oil products nevertheless people continue living here.
