"The cold becomes tangible, palpable, drenching the air and stopping time, like a veil that covers everything, like particles of mist against the light." Developed over five years (2016 - 2021) on the banks of the Duero River as it passes through the city of Zamora, Cencellada is a totally intimate series focused on introspection. The key elements common to all the photographs in this series are the same, creating a silent symphony of fog, frost and silence. Through minimalist images, a peaceful gaze of a sleeping, frozen and silent landscape is sought; an authentic crystal landscape.

Biography

Born in Zamora in 1985, Eduardo Almeida is a fine art photographer specializing in black-and-white landscapes, created entirely with traditional film processes. Largely self-taught, since 2013 he has combined creation, teaching, and the sale of original works. He has exhibited in Barcelona, Paris, the Museum of Zamora, and his own spaces in Zamora and Benalmádena. His publications include Cencellada (2023) and Les Montagnes, Le Chemin Intérieur (2024). Internationally awarded, his work seeks a pure vision of nature, balancing grandeur with the poetry of detail.
